The view from my room was a bit smoggy/foggy but I'm told that's pretty typical for Beijing, had my first meal in China, and I'm so glad I won't miss all that traffic I left at home! lol Not crazy exciting but for me it's like doing everything for the first time and just adding that I did it in China. 

Hello and Ni hao! 

So my name is Sarah Rose Roman, I'm recent graduate of UCLA and this is a blog about my adventures this summer in China! I will be studying this summer at Beijing Normal University and I'm not much of a writer so I'm just planning on putting up fun pictures and allowing my mom to see proof that I'm still ok! :) I am really excited though! I have been studying Chinese language, culture, and art for the last year and it has become one of my passions. I can't wait to see all the things I've been studying and finally experience the culture for myself! I know regardless this experience will be so beneficial to me and I can't wait to start the journey!!!
